Born and raised in Boston Massachusetts, Frank now resides in Jacksonville, Florida where he is the track announcer on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit. Frank got his start in the racing industry as a young teenager walking thoroughbred horses at Suffolk Downs in East Boston. He later became an owner and trainer, claiming horses for his New England stable from tracks like Tampa, Birmingham, Penn National and Delaware. However, when Suffolk Downs closed he turned to broadcasting to get his racing fix. First as a racing reporter for sports radio, then after getting some valuable tips on announcing from Tom Durkin at Saratoga, Frank took his thoroughbred experience to the local greyhound track at Wonderland Park.
Frank was the TV host and track announcer at Wonderland for more than ten years before to moving to West Palm Beach, and eventually landing at Jacksonville, Florida. Since the very first Night of Stars in 1997 with Kip Keefer, Frank has worked on every Night of Stars broadcast from New York, Phoenix, and Derby Lane, Florida.
A
true believer in the concept and for the cause, Frank feels fortunate, and is always excited to be part of a great event like the Night of Stars. |
